I have
a Bachelors degree in Graphic Communications with a minor in Marketing from Baker College of Clinton Township, MI.
I also have an Associates degree in
Communication Design from St. Clair County
Community College of Port Huron, MI. I was born and raised in what is commonly
referred to as the "Blue Water" area in
Michigan. This area typically consists of the
cities and towns in southeast lower Michigan
which line the St. Clair river. The St. Clair
river separates the lower peninsula of Michigan
from the province of Ontario, Canada, and
connects Lake Huron with Lake St. Clair. I
generally like it in the Blue Water area, but I
love the state of Michigan in general.
My interest in Graphic Communications started in
high school after I had taken a few classes
loosely related to the field. After I graduated
in 2001, I immediately began pursuing my
Associates degree at St. Clair County Community
college, and worked a few part time jobs from
time to time, primarily making websites and
learning the trade. A few years after I had
graduated, and began pursuing my Bachelors
degree, I was hired for my first full time
position in the Marketing department at BTM
Corporation. BTM is an industrial products
company, and I was tasked with the design and
development of all company literature,
advertising, and online projects. I have learned, and have grown
much from my experience at
that company, and very much enjoy working in the
field.
I am experienced in a range of Adobe products
including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and
Flash. I also have some experience with Adobe
Premiere and Microsoft's office suite,
especially PowerPoint. Additionally I have used
Adobe Dreamweaver, Microsoft FrontPage, and HTML
code in general. I also enjoy photography
and currently use an Olympus SLR camera.
